Director of Technology, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Overview

If you are someone who is motivated, self-starting, and an independent worker this position is for you. You will to continue to expand your hands-on experience with a successful IT company and collaborate with a team of highly-motivated, top-tier individuals. You will lead all of Sproxil's technical operations and interact with Sproxil team members across 3 continents. Individuals who are attracted to intriguing system architecture design, rapid prototyping beta products using the latest tools and seeing technology make a notable difference in people’s lives around the world would really enjoy this role.

The Director of Technology is responsible for working with Sproxil’s staff to conceptualize and oversee the implementation of new Sproxil products and enhancements to existing Sproxil products.

Responsibilities
  • Translating user requirements into functional requirements
  • Understanding the relationship between Sproxil’s database, application/logic layer and network connectivity resources, and
  • Creating system architectures and project plans that the technology team can execute against

The Director of Technology will oversee Sproxil’s entire technology team on two continents and will work closely with Sproxil’s service delivery team in Boston, MA.

You will need to display great initiative and independence, together with strong organizational, relationship building and interpersonal skills. You will have significant control over the development of Sproxil’s award-winning products. You will also proactively resolve issues before they arise and promptly address technology needs as assigned by your supervisor.

The Director of Technology reports to Sproxil’s CEO.

Qualifications

An individual with the highest levels of energy, self-direction, determination and team spirit is required, combined with superior communication skills. You must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, superior cultural awareness of how technology is used in developing nations and a desire to work for a fast-paced start-up that can offer significant career growth.

You will have these qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing teams of developers in multiple geographic locations
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead projects from concepts to market launch
  • Past experience with working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong command of advanced database management techniques
  • Technical expertise in MySQL database design and administration is required
  • Past experience with HBase and Hadoop is advantageous
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate a strong knowledge of Java on the Linux platform during the interview process
  • Past experience with VPN IPsec and general networking concepts
  • High motivation and intelligence with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work in the Cambridge, MA area without relocation
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • A bachelor's degree

Business Development Intern, Mumbai, India

Overview

The Business Development Intern will be responsible for working with Sproxil India's sales & service delivery teams to help proactively and systematically add new alliance partners. You will work closely with your supervisor to develop, conceptualize and execute plans for acquiring new partners and creating alliance deals.

You will need to display great initiative and independence, together with strong organizational, relationship building and interpersonal skills. You will also have input into Sproxil's overall sales and will contribute towards the same.

Regional Sales Manager – West, Mumbai, India

Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for revenue generation in key segments including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and agri-business. We seek a self-motivated creative individual who will display great initiative and independence, together with strong organizational, relationship building and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for selling Sproxil’s award-winning solutions in the Indian market. You will develop and maintain relationships with the target customers to drive the company's sales on a global basis. You will have complete responsibility for your customer relationships and will be held accountable for total account sales, margins and overall relationship status. Reviewing micro market analyses, you will determine customer needs, sales volume potential, and pricing schedules that will meet the company’s goals.

Qualifications

A highly reliable individual with enthusiasm, service orientation, and attention to detail is required, combined with excellent organization and communication skills. You will have these qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in business/commerce from a reputed university
  • At least 2 - 4 years of successful consultative sales experience involving promoting and selling systems or concepts that increase client sales and brand value
  • Experience managing and closing intricate sales with multiple decision-makers
  • Skills in negotiating pricing of complex offerings
  • Comfort creating sales and marketing materials and presenting in public
  • High motivation and intelligence with expert interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently and flexibly in a start-up environment which is both demanding and multicultural
  • Availability for domestic travel (up to 50%)
  • Exposure and basic understanding of mobile and computing technologies. Fluency in English and a major Indian language
  • Ability to work in Delhi with flexibility to move into other geographies is strongly preferred.
